Meet the Man Behind the Laughs
Real Life. Real Stories. Real Comedy.

The Comedy Journey
I’m Rafael Gee, a New York-born and Brooklyn-raised stand-up comedian with more than 25 years in the game.
Comedy for me has never been about chasing fame. It started as survival. Growing up in New York, laughter became my way of making sense of life, family, culture, struggle, and all the craziness that came with it. Eventually, those experiences became stories—and those stories became my act.
There were no shortcuts. I built my career the old-fashioned way: one stage, one crowd, and one joke at a time. From small rooms in New York City to comedy clubs, theaters, festivals, and headlining shows around the country, every stage helped shape the comedian and storyteller I am today.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to share stages with comedians including Mark Viera, Gina Brillón, Sara Contreras, Anthony Fuentes, Tommy Savitt, the late Angel Salazar, Ruperto Vanderpool, and Splou.
My journey has taken me to stages including New York Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Stand Up NY, Levity Live, Comedy in Harlem, Bananas Comedy Club, Hartford Funny Bone, and many more.
In 2026, that journey reached another level. I performed at the Comedy Chateau International Comedy Festival in Los Angeles, where I was selected for Best of Fest, and I was selected to perform three nights at the 2026 Oak City Comedy Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina. I also had the opportunity to open for Splou at Bananas Comedy Club on the first stop of his tour, introducing my comedy to a new generation of fans.
But my story goes much deeper than credits and stages.
After surviving two life-threatening health battles—in 2020 and again in 2022—I came back to comedy with a different perspective. I stopped worrying about where I was supposed to be and started appreciating everything it took to get here.
Today, I'm a comedian, storyteller, father, grandfather, author, producer, and creator. I've built an audience of more than 55,000 followers on TikTok, continue producing and headlining my own shows, and I'm taking everything I've lived through and putting it into the next chapter of my career.
That next chapter is Ricanstruction—my stand-up special and the culmination of the stories, culture, family, struggles, mistakes, and laughter that made me who I am.
After more than 25 years, I'm still here.
Still writing.
Still performing.
Still evolving.
Still making people laugh. And I'm nowhere near finished.
